Music historian and author Dr. Jean E. Snyder will discuss the life of 20th century African-American composer/arranger Harry T. Burleigh and his important influence on Dvořák's famous "New World" Symphony. This engaging lecture will feature a live performance of songs and spiritual arrangements by Burleigh.
