The High School Music Competition is open to current 9th to 12th grade students and all instruments, voice types, and styles of music. There are Classical and Non-classical categories. Participants in both categories must prepare two or more contrasting pieces to perform. There is no minimum time limit. Grand Prize winners and Honorable Mentions will be awarded in both categories.

Grand Prize:

• $500 cash prize

• Performance in the Noon Concert series during the 33rd Annual Festival

• $2,000 yearly scholarship to Eastern Mennonite University (awarded to Juniors and Seniors only, regardless of major)

Application Deadline: February 16, 2025

• $15 application fee due during onsite registration check-in

• Application fee will be waived for students who attend the official EMU Admission Presentation on the day of the competition
